Community Reviews
Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds are mainly praised for class leading active noise cancellation, strong sound, and a very comfortable fit, with several refurb purchases arriving in near new condition. They also pair well with phones and computers, and multipoint works in practice. The main cautions are Bose quality control and connection quirks, including left earbud pairing problems, occasional crackling, mono switching, and some charging or warranty surprises. Fit can still take some tweaking, and battery life is only average. A strong noise cancelling option if you can live with Bose's occasional reliability headaches.
The earbuds can stay secure during walking and gym use, reducing the need for constant readjustment.
The earbuds deliver strong active noise cancellation that can block engine noise during frequent flights.
The earbuds can provide clean, crisp call audio for work calls when paired correctly.
The earbuds can support multipoint connection for phone and computer audio at the same time.
The earbuds can pop into mono briefly and may show Bluetooth connection issues that affect everyday use.
Warranty coverage can appear expired after registration, which can complicate support for refurb units.
Left-ear pairing can fail after a while, and some reset attempts reportedly do not restore usability.
The earbuds can experience connection reliability problems and left-ear crackling or buzzing quality issues.

I did have an issue with them coming a bit loose in the ear after walking a distance (I wear them walking around the city). There is a guy on ebay who sells rubber wings for the QCII's and the medium size was perfect for me. They don't budge at all now. I am not sure if they work on the other Bose models

I also have more problems with XM4 fit - they fall out of my ears sometimes. But that's gonna be a real ymmv from person to person. and probably not relevant with the XM5 out now.
