People are noting online that the less sugar packets are actually smaller or less oats (not only because of less sugar).
We make oatmeal with regular oats adding fresh blueberries, walnuts, and chia seeds. Sometimes the nuts we use are the omega 3 walmart mixed nuts and dried berry trail mix. Just some ideas that are easy to do and cheap.
I buy the 10 lb plain oats pack from Costco for around same price. Takes me forever to finish but I doubt it goes bad if it's sealed properly . Lately I just mix it into brownie mix along with protein powder and pancake mix rather than just using all brownie mix. It's less sweet and chocolate flavor but good enough as a protein oats brownies cake
I bought these low sugar ones for my kids. They didn't like them at all, and ended up needing to add sugar to make them taste decent. Worth a try, but possibly a bit of a waste or not really worth the "healthier" aspect if no one will eat them.
