Sadly Sony's website makes no mention of the PS3 game playback feature so dcpoor is correct. I agree with Tarkov to buy a used PS4. Reason is that certain Sony blu-ray players go obsolete because Sony never updates the encryption keys. In that scenario you're left with a working blu-ray player that won't player newer blu-ray titles. Meanwhile the PS3 and PS4 will play any blu-ray for your region no problem. The playstation consoles get better updates than the low priced blu-ray players making the used playstation the smarter buy.
