This Milwaukee 8 piece oscillating blade set is mainly appealing for the nitrus carbide blade, which stands out for cutting hard steel and lasting far longer than titanium blades. The set has shown up as an in store clearance item, with prices ranging from $39.88 down to $35.89 and even $22 at some locations. A cheaper Milwaukee 5 piece blade set has also been spotted for $16, and comparable blades from other brands can be less expensive. The main catch is that pricing and stock are highly store specific, so the value depends on finding the right clearance tag.

Common Questions (4)

  • The set may be worth it mainly for the nitrus carbide blade, which is reported to be very durable on hard steel. For general use, cheaper alternatives exist, including 16 titanium blades for $22 and a 5-piece Milwaukee set on clearance for $16.

  • Yes. The $35.89 price is reported as in-store clearance, and the set may require going to the store or checking the clearance aisle/endcap. Some stores also showed different shelf labels and stock counts than the website.

  • Reported in-store prices range from $39.88 normal pricing down to $35.89 clearance, and one store later dropped it to $22. Availability appears limited, with only a few units seen in stock at some locations.

  • The nitrus carbide blade is the standout for hard steel and can last far longer than titanium blades. One report says titanium blades lost teeth in under a minute, while a nitrus carbide blade handled the job and the remaining blades were still unused.

The nitrus carbide blade is seriously tough.

I had a project, cutting hard steel, bought Milwaukee combo pack (not this one), those titanium blades were losing their teeth in less than a minute.

I went back, bought a three pack of nitrus carbide blades, one blade took care of everything. The other two are still not used to this day, the nitrus carbide blade is amazing.

I bought this in store last week for $39.88. That was the normal price it had been for several weeks.

I buy a lot of these blades and the best ones I have come across is the EZARC their most expensive one on amazon. Which is probably still cheaper than this Milwaukee ones.

I was fairly positive this was the set that's been $40 in the isle for a month or so at least. I was having a hard time justifying $40. $4 off isn't enough to get me running to the store.

Yeah, I went to my store for this. I rarely use my oscillating saw, but used it last week and realized my blades were old/dull. The employee I asked couldn't find "Aisle H bay 001" but I eventually found it on an endcap right near the checkouts. The label said $39.88 and it rang up $35.89. Website said they had 21 in stock but I only saw eight or so. Still may be worth it for the nitrus carbide blade, but if it's regularly available for $40, I should have just waited until I needed it.
Oh yeah.. the employee told me the pros who use this stuff every day buy Diablo. For instance: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DIABL.../330368729

Says it's on clearance for my location on the HD product page. Guess I'll head over this morning and see what I can find.
Got a M12 Fuel multi tool on the way, could definitely use this.
