the thing with this cpu is , it performing same as 265KF which is much cheaper currently . only upside is upgrade path , which I think only 1 generation left in same platform which is zen6 , intel also will possibly have one refresh gen so . probably not much road left for am5 platform as well ( with current market it's really unclar) . Still , you can get 265kf + z890 combo for same price as this Cpu and theey performing similar on both workload and gaming

265 is actually pretty good. Big improvement though not quite up to amd. That said, electricity difference will be minimal and it won't drive fans nuts.

Picked this up from the microcenter bundle priced in at 255$ + tax. Figured this CPU would be better for my use case scenario in video editing and some gaming while keeping the 120w chip cool under 70c with a 280mm AIO
