isn't this normal price? $100 for 16g RAM and $140 for the motherboard?

The lowest price that I see for 16GB (2 x 8GB) of DDR5 6000 RAM at NewEgg is $190.

Been looking at upgrading my 10yr old machine. With the price of DDR5 these days, this is almost buy 16gb RAM and get a free mobo. In for 1! Thanks!

16GB is bad, I have 64 GB ( bought before the craziness started) and I can tell you 90% of the games I play use 22 GB no more no less so 24gb or 32gb is what you want in your system if it is a gaming rig. If all you do is Amazon shopping and commenting on Slick deals then 16GB is fine ! If you have professional uses the you already know what you need!

I got this same memory kit bundled with a cheap Gigabyte b650m board from Newegg for 109 at the end of November. I think it would have been this deal: https://slickdeals.net/f/18987583-gigabyte-b650m-gaming-plus-wifi-am5-lga-1718-amd-b650-m-atx-ddr5-pcie-4-0-m-2-pcie-4-0-109-99

That doesn't sound right, you sure you're not looking at reserved memory?

It's possible it uses extra because it has it available but everything uses 22GB. I am using an overlay that shows cpu gpu and memory usage and fps and whatnot and other data in game
