Even though most of my guitars have been Fenders and Squiers, I've never liked that shape headstock on any guitar, and on an acoustic, it's even worse.
I don't like Gibsons any better, and don't bother to ask about a Dean headstock.
I like six in a line, but that bulbous Fender knob on the end looks dumber every time I look at it.
I guess I'm really, really picky about headstocks and simply tolerate them when I have to in order to get the guitars I like.
According to interviews of FMIC execs, those CV Squiers now take the place of what used to be Fender's entry level guitars, quality-wise. Fender has moved a bit more upmarket, and the Classic Vibes were added in the space left when they did.
They're probably the best value by far in music right now.
