do you really need a remote for the phone or kindle, I had Samsong note 20 ultra with pen that have so many features on the button of the pen, I used it only to learn about it. never after

One use case i know of is reading in bed. Kindle is on a holder/stand, arms are warm under the covers turning pages with the remote.
