but... the important bit, the PCB, is completely sold out. You'd need to wait in line and hope you can grab one next time it goes in stock. I have heard more enthusiastic keyboard people trashing on Drop keyboards saying that their PCB quality is worse than other manufacturers though which may cause issues. I'm by no means a keyboard person so I have no idea.

In the case of this board, you need:
case (this product)
drop CTRL v1 or v2 pcba (~$60 and often out of stock)
rgb diffuser ($5-10 and often out of stock)
optionally foams ($~30 on here if they're in stock, or ordered from stupidfish it'll be 29 for case and plate foam and then if you want PE foam on your plate to modify the sound, it's 14 for pre-cut PE foam or you can just use a random thin piece of PE foam and push switches through it by looking up guides on youtube)
plate mounted stabilizers ($12-30; I recommend TX AP, not Drop's phantom stabs)
switches ($20-60) depending on how fancy you get
keycaps ($20-150+) depending on how fancy you get
IMO the CTRL needs foam to sound good. (I have other, clacky boards I run foamless.)

I switch between using my DROP ALT keyboard and my Keychron K7 low profile. I like the Keychron more, due to the low profile switches, but the DROP ALT is top notch for regular switches. It just lacks tons of software features apart from the wireless part.
