It is fairly popular mainstream, tbh. Works on a battlepass system. The fact you have to pay for it at all is honestly offputting. Definitely not for everyone.

all the battlepasses are free and last forever. You only have to pay for the DLC's after you buy the game.

A note though is that the DLC is ONLY cosmetics. Once you buy the base game you get everything
