Octopath traveler 1 was good but the end game content left me salty. I didn't even bother with it. Does this game have the same issue?

I am currently playing octopath 1, but I did finish 2 and I thought it was satisfying. I also found the 2nd QOL much better.

Is it really any different? The first one is great but also a little formulaic.

If we're talking about story wise? 10x better. The character writing and interconnected stories is soooooo much better. Theres banter between characters, questlines for interconnected characters, they also added speed up animations during fights. They also added latent powers to each character to make them feel even more unique. If combat is your main interest though, then it's pretty much the same.

$22 on Woot last spring. Sadly, videogame consumers seem to be tolerating this.

Literally just finished this game today. It's an improvement on the first game. Better endgame and an actual final boss and epilogue

Amazing game, played it on Game Pass before it left not too long ago. Easily an 80+ hour game, so be prepared to sink some time lol

Did you literally? You literally just finished it; as opposed to figuratively just finished it? Stop misusing words.

This is what you choose to spend your time doing? This person didn't even use "literally" incorrectly...

Let me guess, there's a final, final boss that's near impossible to beat. The thing about the games is the enormous grind you have to do to be strong enough and then it's still not enough. Great stories just to damn much grind and difficulty

Played Octopath 1. I couldn't stand the constant ambush. I later found out there are skills to reduce random encounters, but jeez I would move 5 steps and get another repetitive fight.
