For things like hedge trimmer, cordless is much better. In my yard the hedges are all over the place and moving a long cord is a pain.

I agree with other commenter ie cordless is the way to go. I don't know how many cords I severed in my years with corded trimmers! Ryobi generally makes great consumer user hedge trimmers and they go on sale throughout the year! Plus you can get high run time batteries for RYOBI!

No matter the cord length, batteries die but electric power zips along, for decades. With the quick work that this tool does, one will learn quickly. One can always, loop around or drop cord over your non dominant, arm/shoulder. Price is Awesome and cutting your hedges as low and shapely,😔as possible, will give you months between cuts. Tbh, one is just snipping the new growth w the tool
