Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Essence de Parfum
It's a fall/winter type fragrance. Something that you'd wear at night. Date night.

What is this a dupe of so I can get original?
You don't wanna unless you want to spend ~$300 a bottle on eBay. It's a clone of JPG Le Male Essence De Parfum which is long discontinued. Amazing scent, but this will get you pretty close, especially considering that there aren't many alternatives with this DNA.

DON'T BUY FRAGRANCES FROM AMAZON. They've repeatedly sold counterfeits, they won't take returns of fragrances even if you can prove its counterfeit. Even if the frag is legit, it was stored in a warehouse that was definitely not meant to house fragrances so the juice is going to be deteriorated.
Not only that, but online discounters like Fragrancenet and Giftexpress have this in the same size for around $30, they're reputable, and store fragrances properly.
Trust me on this. You might get a decent bottle from Amazon, but it's a risk you don't need to take.

I generally like most of the cheap clones, but I am going to start to go more floral and fruity this year as that appears to be the direction some colognes are heading in. Well, as masculine as floral and fruit can be.

The crapping on dupes/clones will never end but I just watched an eagles player being interviewed and he stops the interview because all of a sudden something smells good and they find out his teammate ( veteran player who's made millions) sprayed his cologne and it's a dupe of pdm Pegasus. Tha guy will not be one of these nfl players who will go broke. Having said that, I ain't buying from amazon, personally. But appreciate cologne deals. Amazon just stinks.

That's like saying "DON"T BUY SOMETHING FROM EBAY!!! EBAY SELLS SCAMS!!!" This is being sold ON Amazon, but by Amazon. There are probably millions of vendors that sell on Amazon and some may sell fakes and some might not.
Look at reviews, reputation, ect. be a smart shopper not just a sheep.

It's just not worth the risk, especially when you can go to other websites that are reputable and carry the same product for the same price, or often less. Would you rather buy your bananas from a grocery store that sometimes sells fake bananas, or go across the street where the bananas cost almost the same amount and they always have real bananas? Buying on Amazon is an unnecessary dice-roll and it's not worth the potential of getting screwed. Even if the fragrance itself is sold/shipped directly from Amazon, they themselves have been caught selling counterfeits! Reason being nobody in an Amazon warehouse could be bothered to check if this bottle of Paco Rabanne is legit, or if that new YSL frag is real.

I don't have like, a news article or study I can link you to, but I'm in a handful of fragrance groups on Facebook, and I've repeatedly seen people who are new to the hobby getting burned buying from Amazon. Something makes them question the bottle's legitimacy, so they'll post asking if theirs is legit, and it's frequently not. It's one of those things that's common knowledge in the community that you don't buy from Amazon. My understanding is that Amazon doesn't directly source the fragrances; there's a third party providing the bottles, and they're the ones who are sketch. Again, it's hard to justify buying from Amazon when there are lots of other legitimate online fragrance discounters who frequently sell for cheaper anyway. Problem is people will balk at the full price of something sitting on Macy's fragrance counter, and Amazon is the first place they think to look for a better deal.

EDIT: I wasn't super clear in my post, but a lot of these people had serious doubts that their bottle was fake as it was bought directly from Amazon and not a third party selling through the website. Amazon themselves don't thoroughly vet who they're getting the fragrances from, and that causes the problem.

"Amazon themselves don't thoroughly vet who they're getting the fragrances from..."
Nonesense. https://sellercentral.amazon.com/...136cf15ffe

Edit: That being said, Amazon commingles their inventory with third party sellers that "ships from Amazon" so that's likely where people are getting fakes from, which is nonetheless unfortunate.
FWIW, I have bought from Amazon 6 times and never gotten a fake. But 6 is a very tiny sample size so 🤷🏻 ♂️
