It took the coupon off and asked me to pay. When I selected to use extra bucks to pay, the coupon was reverted and subtotal was $10 more

With the 98% rule, the total you'd have to get to is $29.40 instead of $30. The $29.40 has to be of items that qualify for the $10/$30. If you use a crt, it reduces the total by the amount of the crt. If you have a total of $29.40 and use a $2 crt, your total is now $27.40 and you need to spend $2 more in qualifying items in order for the $10/$30 to work.
Cashier couldn't figure out why and showed manager exactly this sequence of off and then back on. Then Manager made the wrong conclusion that EB was the reason as you pointed out.
If I buy 2 Colgate mouthwash to spend over $10, I'll earn $5 extrabucks.
1, Can I pay for this order using extrabucks?
2, if I clipped the $2 coupon, does it lower $10 spending and take away $5 extra bucks?

And I didn't see the "bad" ingredients (according to EWG) oxybenzone & octocrylene
I got the last 100spf but there was 65spf same price.
I seldom pay attention to CVS clearance so don't know if it is consistent throughout the stores but thought it might be worth mentioning

And my actual $2 cover girl manufacturer coupon didn't even apply to my first item since it was unclipped.. I've also been having problems with coupons unclipping once I'm in store too and since there's no Internet connection in store I can't even check. Has anyone had this happened before? I know I clipped all my coupons Sunday morning but when I checked after coming back from Cvs both CoverGirl coupons were unclipped.
