I currently have a 34UW at 1440, feels like any larger that res wouldn't be ideal? Would think 1600p would be more appropriate.

this appears to be the standard price at this outlet, it was on sale for $100 less twice in the last two weeks

I have the Asus version of this monitor with the same specs that I got for around the same price. I'm disappointed with it. Text looks horrible at this resolution and screen size. The colors and gaming experience are great tho so I decided to keep it rather than the hassle of returning it. Be prepared for how bad text will look, it's pretty shocking at first.

Yep, even today that dpi (109) doesnt feel too good. Going one up will be 93 and be ugly. You really need 125dpi+. LGs new 39GX950B will prob be the endgame, but at a pretty mental cost.

People always seem to recommend stupid monitors with like <100 ppi. Stuff like 32" 1080p. IDK what these people have for eyes but I cannot tolerate stuff lower than 150ppi. I would not go lower than UHD at a 32" or larger size

Snagged this at BB during the holidays. They had limited supply and were shortly out of stock. Not a lot of reviews but this 'panel' is the same and made from LG. Lots of discussion on low PPI which isn't a dealbreaker to me. I use the monitor for gaming and BF6 on this OLED (240hz) is breathtaking! Visuals are simply stunning! Typical OLED needs surrounding pixel refresh but outstanding clarity during gaming sessions. I just wish there were more reviews.

I think your complaint is overblown. It's the same one all the "reviewers" had to complain about the LG 800r 39" pixel density as well.
That was literally the only thing they complained about in EVERY review. Unless you're looking at your screen with a magnifying glass 99% of people won't notice it unless someone points it out (reviews)
I have that LG 39" which I believe is the same panel used in this one, and the text clarity drama is significantly overblown. Text is fine, if you stick your eyeball up to the monitor you can see it's not uniform and some color ghosting on some texts/background colors, but you really have to be up close to see it.
pixel density is a non issue. If you're looking for something for spreadsheets then this probably isn't the one for you. It's a gaming monitor and excels in that area, it's bright and oled and has a wicked fast refresh.
