The Basilisk V3 Pro is a feature rich wireless mouse with strong battery life, a comfortable feel, and no phantom click complaints in long term use. The scroll wheel and wireless connection are also praised in some experiences, and the mouse can be used plugged in if needed. The main drawbacks are Razer Synapse software quirks, reports of disconnects or scroll wheel problems, and a narrow USB C port that can make replacement cables hard to fit. The charging dock is not included, and the price looks high versus past Amazon pricing and direct Razer offers, making it a solid but pricey option if you want the Basilisk shape.

Common Questions (5)

  • It has sold for much less before, including around $22 a few months earlier, and CamelCamelCamel shows it has only been cheaper by about a penny on Amazon. That makes this price closer to normal than a standout discount.

  • It can run a few days on a full charge, but charging is awkward if you lose the included USB-C cable because the port is narrow and many USB-C cables may not fit. In that case, the dock becomes the main charging option.

  • The mouse can have software that forgets settings, and one unit reportedly could not keep the scroll setting right. Another reported issue is a failing scroll wheel, so the wheel and Synapse software are the main things to watch.

  • Some units reportedly disconnect and reconnect repeatedly over the dongle, sometimes with a clicking sound, and may only work reliably when used plugged in as a wired mouse. Other long-term use reports mention no phantom clicks or other issues.

  • No, the charging dock is not included. Razer sells the dock separately for about $80, so this deal is for the mouse only unless a bundle explicitly says otherwise.

I like mine for the most part. The software can be questionable and forget my settings. My first one was a dud which could not keep the scroll setting right.

Using this exact mouse, not a bad little mouse. It can run a few days on a full charge. My only compliant is if you lose the USB C cable that comes with it your only option to charge it is than the stand it comes with it. Sometimes putting it on the stand is annoying, also the spot where the USB-C plugs in is so narrow that most USB-C cables wont fit, so dont lose the one that comes with it (at least I believe it comes with it cant remember to be sure, but I cant find it if it did).

No issues with phantom clicks or anything else with it. Have been using it for over a year now. Pretty sure I got it for way less than this price though.

You got it all wrong this mouse doesn't have the double clicks issue the Logitech has.

If Razer would ever put the 35K version of this mouse on sale I might take a chance and bite...

Very nice mouse that died on week 53. I've had too many Razor products go bad right out of warranty.

Do you really crank it up all the way upto 35k? I keep mine around 1000 with 3x 2k monitors. What do you even do with 35k dpi? I think 2k is plenty fast and anything beyond that is excessive and difficult for precise control

Nice mouse, not worth $89. I bought for $22 a few months ago.

Big FYI, Razer does NOT honor their warranty if you purchase through Amazon. YES, even if it was sold and shipped by Amazon, they will NOT honor their warranty.
According to camelcamelcamel this mouse has only been cheaper by one penny on Amazon. Essentially, it's never been cheaper when sold by Amazon.

No, I don't... Just a compulsive need to buy the latest, newest, most advanced version of things.

It's a sickness really. 🙂

That's not true at all. THey make you jump through hoops to get the replacement, but they honor all warranties from Amazon. I've RMA'd at least 2 mice now, both from Amazon.

You must have bought it used. Which would explain the cheaper price and why they didn't honor the warranty.
