I did a lot of research on the nano. Too many people commented on the screen door effect. For people like me, using my current M4 Pro for media consumption, and other non technical tasks, the high storage just doesn't make sense.

It's designed for specific groups. If you use it for work in the field, or even in your backyard, it makes sense. If you use the pencil, it probably makes sense.

Recommend RTINGS.COM for review including side by side.

I'm in the same boat between an MacBook Air m4 or iPad Pro m4, what makes you use/like the iPad more than the laptop?

It's quick and convenient. I can take it anywhere. Portability mainly and I can easily charge with Jackery during power outages.

Was researching the nano glass:

Durability & Maintenance: The etched surface is potentially more vulnerable to permanent scratches than standard glass. Apple recommends cleaning it only with its specific Polishing Cloth to avoid damage

I've found trading easier still on a laptop, what apps do you find best for trading or are you doing it in the browser?

I've been looking at M4 pro cellular 11in for a while now and although these prices are the lowest I've seen, Costco's put me into a dilemma here. The 11in 256GB cellular is at $799 and the 11in 1TB cellular is at $999 but with nano texture. Paying $200 more for an upgrade from 256 to 1TB seems to be such a good vale deal, especially when apple charges crazy prices on their website for store and RAM upgrades. But, on the other side I'm not a big fan of nano-texture and have always thought to put on a tempered glass screen protector as soon as I buy an iPad. Looks like even Costco knows that these nano texture M4 pros won't move out fast if they don't heavily discount it.

SoFi, Interactive Brokers, Kraken, CNN, Yahoo Finance and TradingView. I would like to get a more streamlined approach, down to just one or two, but for now each broker offers something I need. IBKR has Canadian stocks but there's a learning curve. SoFi is just easy and I got a deal for Kraken+ for a year with no fees. Eventually I'll settle on Interactive Brokers and Fidelity.

Highly recommend picking up the discounted applecare+ with this. The nano texture is amazing, but people aren't joking when they say there are massive durability issues. Keys, zippers, anything even remotely metal or in my case any hard dust will leave scratches on this thing.
However just be aware if you pick this up with applecare, you're $85 away from the 2TB Glossy model. Depending on who you are you may not want to deal with the BS that comes with the nano texture and that may be an option you look towards.

I have never used a nano model, but I can't imagine it being $200 better than a $15-20 matte screen protector.

iPad and iPhone, all day, everyday. Easy to check on things quickly if I don't feel like fooling with it or spend hours researching if I'm into it that day. I wish I had known years ago that I didn't need a big, expensive setup to learn trading. I use iPad Pro 12" and iPhone 16 Plus. SoFi and Kraken send alerts about your stocks and crypto throughout the day that just pop up.

Costco deal. Nano is less money than the glossy.

If anyone has a Costco $50 code that they aren't going to use I would appreciate it!
