not only does the pushdown portion look cheap, there are quite a few negative comments (only 66% (97 reviews) are 5 stars, overall has a 4.0 score with 147 total reviews.). Just from a mechanical standpoint, the pushdown handle is neither ergonomically efficient nor durable.
Also, it does not state anywhere how large the opening is. Many of the cheaper ones do not get above 3 or 3.25" - not very big, esp. if trying to cut larger potatoes / sweet taters, larger onions etc.
Definitely a "you get what you pay" item.
