So the Oupes won't charge the external 48v as well? I just have an extra 48v 200ah that I was hoping to extend the capacity with.

I have only dealt with Ecoflow, so need to look into this a bit more.

I have a Bluetti AC50S that is broken. I bought it in 2020. Bluetti told me they can't fix it even if I pay for it. They've moved on. They don't have the parts. That's the biggest issue that you will run into. Unlike with car parts, the manufacturer will have to keep parts around for 6 years. I find that highly unlikely. I would not be surprised if the "warranty" is them offering you X% off on a new unit. That is assuming they are still in business in 6 years.

I will actually give my daughter my current Delta 2 that I know works, and then run this one through some use cases and if it is good, swap it back. My son will be moving out in a few months, so will give him the Delta 2 when he goes.
I don't really use the Delta2 much anymore since I got a whole house battery, so it just kind of sits around.

Doing the "hack" allows bi-directional charge/discharge (well, on the Delta units it does, not sure about Oupes) and higher power transfer, using the Anderson port does not allow bi-directional power and is limited to 800w.

As above, you can use it, but through the Anderson plug is easier, but you will need a 48v charger to keep the external battery charged. The nice thing about the Oupes is it is 800w max through the solar port, so can recharge pretty quickly vs other units this size that usually are 500 watts max solar.
I think the answer is that the solar port can only be input and requires the battery to be charged separately and would require the Exodus 2400 to use an external 48v battery. The Mega's expansion port supports input and output to recharge the external battery.
