Sold by Shanghai Taihua
Fulfilled by Walmart

Definitely a scam. I don't need to have an argument with Walmart next week about a return.

No way in hell this is real. This is a counterfeit product and likely preloaded with malware.

I will tell you how this scam works, they will put in some metal block in the case to make it heavy then inside literally it is powered by a very small USB like 64GB for example, the way it works is that you write files to this, it will overwrite earlier data once disks are full.
Disk will appear 8TB and recognized by Windows and files look like they are there but when you click to open files written earlier, it will just say files are corrupted.
Only the last 64GB of your data will be readable.

This is a fake. Devices like this use cheap SD cards or flash drives placed into a fancy looking external enclosure. You will be lucky if there is actually 32 GB of storage in there, but you will be unlucky when you find out that it has a hacked firmware that reports a fake capacity, and that everything you write onto it past the first couple of gigabytes will be corrupted irretrievably.
Do some Google searches about fake flash drives and fake SSD. It's an epidemic on amazon, ebay, and those various Chinese dumping ground sites like wish and temu.
