Yes Greentoe is legit. Whatever you buy ships from an authorized retailer. I have used Greentoe several times as have many people here.

Good deal for this model. In case anyone is interested, Rtings has said this is the best soundbar system in its price rangeā€¦ so I'm assuming they meant avg actual price around $700 ?

I have an S95TR from a tv bundle deal and just a heads up that it absolutely wrecks my eero wifi on 5ghz due to I assume the wireless speakers. Some of the blame is probably also on eero for its channel management and originally being too close to the soundbar (had to move to another room) but just a heads up for anyone else who might that combination

If I have an older TV with optical only am I losing out on a lot of the sound benefits?

Absolutely. You are only getting the older pcm sound. Bitstream is not supported. So no surround support or hifi.

Overall it's pretty close. The Samsung has slightly better height/atmos sound effects but this LG has excellent (the best) center channel dialogue even in very loud movie scenes. Both subs are good. The Samsung is slightly better but for the price this is one of the best deals I've seen for a flagship soundbar.
