Kind of a bargain. Most of the other players have already announced their Snapdragon X2 updates at CES last week, which should have significant improvement's. As always it's a choice of buying the last gen at a big discount or buying the new hotness at a full price. With the X1 being their first real effort for high performing WoA, I think I'd rather see what the X2 brings.
I have the 13.8" version with same specs and it's fantastic!!! I paid about same price for the smaller footprint and I love the size for portability. The 15" would be interesting to try and see if the bigger screen is worth it vs the extra weight and bulk to carry around.
Our company has been deploying Windows on ARM and all the software vendors we use now have software that runs natively.
People who travel are surprised at the battery life improvements.
bought the Samsung Book4 Edge 14" for around $500 a year ago a few months after it came out. 16" was around the same price. I've been very happy with WoA except for VPNs.
I'd wait for this to drop further or wait for X2 to get price cuts; imho they are inevitable as intel stepped up its game with the new series 3 processors that have the power and battery efficiency to rival any chip. Qualcomm has to undercut them significantly
Snapdragon X2 Elite, when it arrives, will supposedly be under $1K in the upcoming Lenovo Yoga slim 7x which is a quality model, and the previews I've seen from CES on X2 Elite, it's worth waiting for. I would not spend $1200 on this almost legacy model.
