Everything is a chemical. I don't see anything weird in the ingredients if you know what you're looking at.

I think that guy wasn't smart. I generally find people that talk about chemicals without saying why to be idiots, but I'll just talk about what some might be concerned with.

There are sugar alcohols in it. There is a fair bit of evidence, but none of it super conclusive, that eating sugar alcohols are probably bad for our gut health. Erythritol does seem to be one of the better ones.

Whey protein tends to cause a big insulin spike similiar to table sugar. Maybe the casein included will slow that down. Having many insulin spikes throughout the day is known to lead to insulin insensitivity.

I figure one of those must have been what they were worrying about. It's helpful to think of these as candy bar alternatives. If this keeps you from a eating a Snickers or a pint of ice cream, it is probably beneficial to health even if it isn't a healthy food.

Totally agree. I usually read the nutrition facts when I buy things. Old habit from my gym days. And its funny hearing people that dont know how to read being loud about what is good or bad for your health.

I was suprised reading the ingredients of these quest chocolate bars that it is relatively healthy compared to other chocolate brownies out there. So I gave it a try. This product tastes pretty good. And its definitely a healthier alternative for when im craving sweet stuff. Also cheaper from Costco if anyone wants to go that route.

All good points. I always read Xylitol and and Erythritol were the two better options over things like sorbitol and mannitol.

Their Hero line uses mostly Allulose, though looking at the bar I have, it still has a few grams of erythritol.

I only personally use these snacks/bars for trips or leave some in my bag just in case I don't have time to stop for food.
