The listed prices seem really way higher than last year.

A reminder: We have an All-Clad Pots & Pans Advice FAQ that covers this sale as well as the differences between all of the All-Clad products. Pricing at this sale fluctuates from month to month and item to item, so buyers should do their homework. The 12" covered skillet is a good buy at $85 but yes -- most items this month are at least $10 more than their historic best prices (the D3 3-quart saute pan is usually a "loss leader" that can be had for under $70, and it's $120!). For any specific item, search SD and you'll probably find a historic sale price."Nicer" is subjective. Again I encourage folks to check out the FAQ. The traditional handles were designed that way for a reason. I own both and they are both well-designed, but I prefer the traditional handles, especially for larger pans.

Isn't copper core the premium product? I recall copper > aluminum core, the All Clad D3 is aluminum core

Go to the site... copper core is included in the seconds sale. From what I've seen in the past, seconds are barely noticeable... made a small scratch or something that's going to happen after you use it a couple of times.

How is 'packaging damage' different from 'second quality'? Do they have packaging damage in addition to being factory seconds? Or are they not factory seconds (factory firsts?) with only packaging damage?

Have always wanted to try this sale out. In for a d5 skillet set where apparently it's only damaged packaging. Thanks, OP!

I think it's copper > graphite > d5 > d3 > other.
not sure if graphite should swap with copper in my example. Even the D3 is still a fantastic product.

They SHOULD be only package damage.

Pricing seems to have jumped since last year. I made three separate purchases last year when these deals became available. I wanted to pick up a few more pieces, but I'll wait to see if the prices come down when the next sale comes around.

Their email validation seems to reject emails with caps lock on if anyone else runs into that.

Agreed! Smilie I was initially skeptical of their website, but I eventually purchased a large 8-quart pot a couple of years ago that turned out great!

It's the same clearance site as years past. You can find former links on here.

Other way around between the copper and graphite. The Goldilocks is the D3 Everyday. Has the nicer handles that the graphites come with.

Everything I bought last year has gone up about 25% in list price 😨 just looked back at my receipt from the last time SD ran this 15% off promo. Gonna hold off to see if they run another deal in April again, hopefully with better list prices.
