Was not the u6 version in led like $500? Last year? $1000 sounds a lot for a Hisense
This is about as budget as I'd personally go for a TV these days. My older U8G I paid $1k for is still an excellent TV years later.
For the price, this offers a ton of performance, it's a lot of TV for $1,000. Honestly, I'd pick it up to replace my U8G if I didn't have to justify to my wife why we need it.
The 100" model of this TV is on display at Best Buy near me, and that thing looks awful. Probably a defect in their demo, but the 100" in the corner looks jagged and the image super soft. Weird how the 100" has a full glossy, but this 75" is a semi-glossy typical finish. After my experience with the 75" U7K, I'm glad to stick with TCL. Switched from the U7K to Q750G, and only upgraded because of a deal to the QM8K, and TCL by FARRR is superior. Way less blooming and better black levels.
