Is it better than mt3000? Is it a good price? Is it allowed in airplane?

Is this comparable to GL.iNet GL-BE3600 any caveats with this?

I've not heard travel routers not being allowed on an airplane. I take one of my two GLinet routers with me a few months out the the year. No issues on American.

How do you power them? With a battery bank?

I bought the Asus BE58 Go from BB, spec seems similar. Any reason I should return money now and but this one?

no need to switch to the tp-link if everything works out with your asus. the Go works with asus mesh if you have other asus wifi routers at home. i've not used the asus, but have used the tp-link wifi6 router and the gl.inet wifi6 as well. all are solid for its purpose.

glinet runs openwrt, more customization, has Adguard home to block ads/contents. I have their home Flint2 router, same openwrt, i like the customization. but if you aren't doing any of that, i'd suggest the tp-link at the lower price poiint.

I take mine on the plane and either power with battery bank or in-seat outlet once we've taken off. done it for dozens of flights, never once had an issue or question. I just shove it in the seatback pocket so it's not sitting too visibly. pay for internet once (or use tmobile free inflight) and connect all my devices, it's great!

  • Usage Restrictions:
Many airlines now prohibit using power banks or charging devices during the flight, even in the cabin, so keep them stored.
