Panasonic eneloop AAA batteries are praised as long lasting rechargeables that hold their charge better than Amazon Basics and still feel reliable after about a year of use. The pack also fits into a broader value discussion, with cheaper AAA alternatives and charging setups mentioned for comparison. A caution appears around the deal itself, with concern that steep Amazon discounts can signal counterfeit inventory. Overall, the comments frame these as dependable low self discharge batteries, with price and source worth checking carefully.

  • Households that keep lots of AAA devices running, because the charge lasts longer than Amazon Basics rechargeable batteries.

  • People who want rechargeable AAA batteries that still feel reliable after a year of use, because the batteries were still performing well after about one year.

  • Shoppers comparing low-cost rechargeables for everyday use, because a cheaper 12-pack option is available at a lower per-battery price.

  • Buyers who want a long-lasting alternative to disposable AAA cells, because the batteries are described as lasting a long time.

  • People worried about counterfeit batteries, because the listing can attract fake inventory when the discount is unusually deep.

  • Buyers who need a charger for lithium-ion rechargeables, because the suggested Powerex charger does not support lithium-ion batteries.

  • People wanting a simple multi-battery charging setup, because the alternative charger can require multiple units and extra power cables for larger capacity.

  • Shoppers expecting the linked charger to be inexpensive, because it is called out at $160.

Any recommended 8 or 16 pack charger? I have several 4's but it would be really nice to have an 8 since we rotate through pretty quick.

Same problem here. I waited 20 minutes and reloaded the cart and it went through. I noticed this on another SD with Amazon yesterday. Sounds like a glitch on their website?

My father in law has the Powerowl one, but he has powerowl batteries. I haven't heard any complaints from him yet. Seems to be pretty cheap too, I would pick one up, but I own like 5 or 6 4 bay chargers already and I think the wife would murder me if another one showed up.

Wish my neighbor needed half of these. I'd love 5-8 for similar price per unit

Amazon Basics rechargeable still cheaper. No source handy, but I'm pretty sure Amazon batteries have the best cost to lifecycle.

There are lithium ion rechargeable batteries, but they get really hot while charging and I don't know that they're really good for holding a charge and for long life under load.

The charge seems to stay on these batteries much longer than the Amazon basic rechargeable batteries.

If you want to save a few more cents, the 12-pack is $22.22 ($1.85/count).
