Great beginner drone... Just be careful, because there is no obstacle avoidance.

You attach your phone to it for all controls and to see the live feed and recording. Don't think you can fly it without attaching a phone/tablet

TACO. The administration threatened to block them and then decided at the last minute to completely reverse course and not do anything at all.

Community Reviews

The DJI Mini 4K comes across as a small, capable beginner drone with strong camera quality and solid range for casual flying. It is also a better value than pricier alternatives, especially for basic aerial video. The main tradeoffs are that it needs a phone or tablet for controls and live view, and it has no obstacle avoidance. Battery life is not great, so an extra battery helps, and phone fit can be awkward with larger cases. A compact pick for simple flying and good footage.

  • The drone is described as small yet capable, which supports beginner-friendly use.

    ChukkySPasilva1

  • The drone's camera quality is described as outstanding by community members.

    trebb

  • Community members note that the controller setup can be used with fewer charging items when paired with the right controller configuration.

    verhoff

  • Community members report being impressed with how far they could take the drone during flights.

  • The controller requires attaching a phone or tablet for controls and live feed, which can limit use without a compatible device.

    SkillfulGoat5091btc54051huaqiangbei

  • A reported signal-loss incident ended with the drone landing in the road and getting run over, with DJI response still pending.

    shua71shua71

  • Community members raise concerns about app and certification-related friction, including Android side-loading requirements.

    Linenoise77monkey3d

  • The drone lacks obstacle avoidance, so flying requires extra caution around obstacles.

Two different needs. Neo 2 is half the battery fly time, but it does have a cool gesture and follow mode. Also Neo 2 with remote is $430

Is the camera good enough quality to use professionally, like for shooting real estate?
