I recommend freetaxusa.com, been using it for 10+ years. Free federal, state is ~$15. If you want deluxe everything you might pay 30-$40 for unlimited corrections/re-filings/etc.

I purchased online two nights ago solely because the Amazon link was not yet live. The three options from BJ's were Store Pickup, Delivery, and Free Shipping. I now realize I should have gone for Delivery. Instead I selected Free Shipping.
Yeah, they shipped it all right. I received it this afternoon. They sent the display packaging and nothing else. No serial number or download code. Just a worthless blue package. Obviously some idiot didn't know what he was doing and merely grabbed it off the display. The package says at top right, "IMPORTANT...Exchange with cashier for product."
I drove to my nearest BJ's and thought it would be a simple matter. Hardly. They refused to do anything. This dragged on for more than an hour. They wouldn't give me the actual product. They wouldn't allow me to return and refund. All of this despite showing them all 3 emails associated with the purchase and also bringing the box that the item shipped in.
The display packaging of the same TurboTax I received was less than 10 yards away from the customer service desk. When I pointed that out they were bewildered. They had no answer for what would happen if I took one off the hook, purchased it, and followed the instructions of exchanging with the cashier.
Finally they made several phone calls. Each one led nowhere. They were trying to send me to a BJ's 15 miles away in Miami Lakes because that's where the item supposedly shipped. I called that BJ's tonight. They were equally unconcerned. They said don't come here, we can't help you.
This is no different than buying a toaster and receiving an empty box. I am calling BJ's directly tomorrow. I don't expect it to go smoothly. Mostly I have no idea why I use anyone besides Amazon. They have only made a few mistakes with me in 25 years.
While I was at Staples returning some purchases, I asked them if they pricematched, and they said yes. I showed them the BJ price of $65 and also the $10 in app credit, and asked if they can match the $55 price. To my surprise, the cashier just punched the $55 into the register and I was able to buy the TurboTax Premier with 1-free state for $55.
Obviously this is huge YMMV. But for those that do have a Staples near by, it may be worth a try.
Just installed it and wow does the software try and switch you to the online version. 4 or 5 screens you need to click through confirming you want to use the installed desktop version. And wanting a reason why you won't switch.
Does anyone know the best Turbotax deal available now for the Deluxe version for Federal and State? Will another sale come up before tax deadline?
