This Centon 2.5 inch SATA III SSD is mainly appealing as a cheap game or laptop storage upgrade, with the 1TB version priced at $48 and the brand having old OEM roots. The strongest upside is the low cost for a standard SATA drive, and the 2TB version has already shown up for some orders with a 3 year warranty. The main drawback is fulfillment uncertainty, since confirmations have shown March or two month estimates, charges can post before shipping, and some orders have been canceled or delayed. A practical budget pick if the wait does not matter.
The SSD can arrive quickly even when the order confirmation shows a roughly two-month delivery estimate.
The drive includes a 3-year warranty after delivery.
The Centon brand has prior OEM history supplying Dell and other companies, which may reduce uncertainty about the manufacturer.
The SSD may be workable for game-drive use where re-downloading games after a replacement is acceptable.
The earlier Centon deal has reportedly failed to ship on time even after immediate credit card charging.
A long estimated shipping window of about two months is criticized as unreasonable for SSDs and hard drives.
Third-party vendor behavior may include charging before shipping and risking the chargeback window ending before delivery.
Reliability concerns have been raised for this model or brand, with some calling it bottom-of-the-barrel.

Many others like Amazon do not charge until they are ready to start the pulling and packing process
