There's no need for HDMI 2.1 when the monitor can only go up to 1440p. The bandwidth from HDMI 2.1 would be overkill according to the specs of this monitor.

LED and not OLED but really love Samsung monitors. Great deal for older display tech.

I think 1440p on 32" is fine if you're gaming and don't have the monitor super close (or don't have perfect vision). The Odyssey monitors generally have better motion handling than cheaper "gaming" monitors, that and better build quality are the main things you're paying for here. Solid deal if you're in the above categories.

Note, IPS looks washed out to me compared to VA, but it does have better viewing angles. If you're not familiar with those terms you might want to look them up before buying to make sure getting the one you prefer.

Qhd on 32". No Thanks
I have a 32" monitor with QHD and I'm happy. I game. But I also don't want 4K to slow my video card down as I don't have a 5090 to drive a 4K monitor for gaming. The QHD 3,686,400 pixels will be able to run the 180Hz sync via my 5080 without tearing most of the time.

EDIT: Darn, I have a 27" at QHD, sorry for the bad initial info.

It does take some fiddling via contrast, brightness, etc, to get IPS to not blind you.

Holy moly, I'm on a chat box with Samsung trying to find out some info and they are SLOW. They say they're experts, but I don't know what they are experts of.

Glad to see that FreeSync is still in-use, but I wonder how much of a difference it actually makes. I got a monitor about 10 years back now that uses the NVIDIA equivalent of that technology and AFAIK it doesn't have FreeSync

Got it from BB, as they deliver no 22 Jan for me. Just make sure you're getting the 32" and not the 27".

Got it today, IPS is so bright, had to lower it a bit. The monitor power/menu button is finicky, but you can find the right spots to move the menu cursor around using the 'outside' of the power button to move things. (sounds strange, but that's the only way to describe it). Registered and downloaded the monitor drivers for the INF file for colors. Sync came up automatically for me, same for the 180hz YMMV. I'm happy. Thanks OP !

Note: VESA mount screws (not included) are M4 with 70 pitch and about 6-8mm long.

I currently have a pair of HP 27er monitors which are IPS 1080p which I've used with my pc and work laptop for many years. Thinking about a small size upgrade.

These seems to be a solid budget monitor and would be fine for the very little gaming in PC I do. Thinking that since I've been used to 1080p on a 27" that the qhd at 32" won't be a big concern for me?

Just undecided if I should try a curved monitor or not but all those 32 in this price range seem to be VA panels.

Would these seem to fit my use case well?
