*** RAM is soldered, but this mini PC is much more powerful than the 7730U mini PCs that are flooding SD, for a similar price, if not higher. I feel that this PC as a whole has much, much more to offer, because it has a better processor, better graphics, dual NICs, Oculink and USB4 for adding an eGPU, among other things.
----------------------------------------------------
Premium Gaming Mini PC

- AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H (8C/16T up to 4.7Ghz) Processor, Equipped with enterprise-grade processors from the Pro series, it delivers greater stability during extended operation compared to consumer-grade processors.
- AMD Radeon 680M 12-core graphics card, it effortlessly handles multitasking and runs AAA-grade games.
- 16GB LPDDR5 RAM running at an astonishing 6400MHz. (Soldered)
- 3 PCIe 4.0*4 SSD slots
- Oculink Port: Compared to traditional interfaces, OCuLink offers lower latency and higher stability, enabling seamless connection to external graphics cards (eGPUs) or high-speed storage devices. This allows Mini PCs to unleash expansion capabilities approaching those of desktop computers, making them ideal for high-load scenarios such as gaming, video editing, and 3D rendering.
- USB4: 40Gbps and compatible with Thunderbolt devices, including hubs, docks, and external eGPUs.
- 8K Triple-Screen Display. Equipped with HDMI 2.1+DP 2.1+USB4 Video output, Supports up to 8K resolution at 120Hz refresh rate.

Never heard of AOOSTAR. How's the brand reputation? No AceMagic-similar practices of preloading with malware?

I'd also be looking to load Linux onto this to be my new Kodi box. I'm assuming it should be golden, since it's both AMD CPU and GPU?

I'm currently using an AOOSTAR GEM12 Max, which I bought a year ago. It's been reliable with no issues at all in a whole year. It came with preinstalled RAM and SSD. It's a good little PC that can play some games, but it's definitely not comparable to the large aquarium gaming PC I also own. I love this silent, tiny PC for everything except heavy gaming; I only run the big box for AAA titles when really need the 4k resolution with high FPS.

What do you use it for primarily?

It handles everything except heavy gaming. It's my daily driver for web surfing, coding, and often editing 10–15 minute video clips in Full HD without any issues. It runs a 4K monitor with no lag at all. Though 32GB probably critical parameter for iGPU configurations.
