16GB is the new 8GB. Not for any price would I buy a gaming rig with 16GB soldered

Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. At least you know they aren't shoving bottom of the barrel components in there and pushing them out the door. This will probably be a very good choice for someone looking for this combination of features.

Unfortunately, when the laptops start getting this thin, manufacturers start utilizing every trick possible to save space inside the chassis. An easy way to save space is to ditch the RAM sockets.

Looks like great specs except for ram. Would having a separate graphics card make the 16gb go farther for normal tasks?

Also allows for much higher clock. Ram on this runs at 7500mhz vs the 5600mhz you get with standard sodimm ddr5.

Yeah 16gb isn't going to be future proof, but still can't beat this form factor and build quality for the price.

Best buy open box is hit or miss - good thing for free returns.

The bad news is hardly anyone can afford the things that are future proof. However, the good news is that at the rate things are going, the future isn't going to be worth living anyway. 🤷
