These work well for cracking Ice cubes or Ice nuts as well.

My wife recently broke ours on pecans, although I don't know that it was either Winco or stainless steel. I'm tempted to get another, but ... these are for display and/or guests. The ergonomics are terrible. The hinge arrangement is weak. The jaws don't grip. This is not a terrifically demanding job for your cheapest of pliers.

Looks just like the ones we had when I was very young!
Back in the day when we didn't have as many choices as now... it worked fine. But I can see how modern day ones would be much better... like one person said... the jaws won't grip.. could see a walnut sliding all over the place.
