This mini PC looks strongest as a compact emulation and light gaming box, with the Ryzen 7 6800H and Radeon 680M handling MAME, Batocera, light gun games, and even some PS3 or Teknoparrot titles at 720p. It is also described as very fast for daily use and quiet in normal operation. The main knocks are the lack of Thunderbolt, Oculink, and dual LAN, plus reports of driver setup hassles and past company support or malware concerns. A solid fit if you want small size and strong integrated graphics more than expansion features.

  • Retro arcade builders running MAME or Batocera, because the 680M handles emulation and light gun games smoothly at 720p.

  • Home-office users doing web browsing and everyday tasks, because the system feels extremely fast and stays very quiet under light load.

  • Tinkerers building an IT lab box, because the mini PC is a compact machine to experiment with and reinstall Windows on.

  • Light gamers who stay away from demanding settings, because it runs older and cloud games well but struggles when Diablo 4 is pushed hard.

  • Gamers expecting high-end graphics expansion, because it has no Thunderbolt or Oculink and the integrated graphics sit around RX 6400 or GTX 1650 level.

  • People who want a polished out-of-box Windows setup, because it can need driver troubleshooting and a clean reinstall before it feels right.

  • Security-conscious buyers, because these mini PCs have been described as potentially virus prone and as having had malware preinstalled.

  • Buyers who need dual wired networking, because the listing description says dual LAN but the unit does not have it.

I bought the Firebat a6 as well. I mainly use it for batocera. I think all the USB A are 5Gbps, but the USB C is probably 10Gbps since it was comparatively faster. You also can get video out of its USB C which I use with Rayneo air 3s pro glasses. In my limited testing it seems happiest around 1440p which was tested with GameCube rogue squadron II. I didn't mess much with rpcs3 because when I upscale on different machines I get graphical glitches in batocera. Lollipop chainsaw massacre the characters turn to green static. It's fine if I keep it native resolution. If this box is like the firebat a6 it only came with one stick of ram which will hurt iGPU performance since it's only single channel.
I use the USB C for my external SSD and just one screen via HDMI. I have a dual boot set for the light gun games in Batocera running off the SSD, and then windows for Retrobat with non light gun games.

From what everyone told me about the 680m, I am getting much better performance. It's probably because I am not trying to upscale PS3 to 4K, and not dealing with more modern gaming. But the single stick or DDR5 Ram has been more than enough for me.

I got very lucky on Black Friday by stacking Aliexpress coupons and also the PayPay $40 off. For $220 this more than suites all my needs and the 780m really doesn't seem like much of an upgrade

Just my theory…. People claim higher RAM price because companies hoarding RAM to build AI in their data centers. If that was the case, why prices of other components not went up the same rate since last summer? Are they building PC without CPU, SSD, GPU (or NPU), etc. ?
For consumer PCs, RAM is measured in GB. For data centers, try TB.
