To start, I own an AirFly Duo (which I really like and therefore don't need this).
I wouldn't even comment, except that the one annoyance with the screenless AirFly is that it can be tricky to know and manage what's connecting to it. I can definitely see the value in the screen when/if you have multiple headsets and want better visibility and control over them. That said, I've learned to live with it.

Idk, I have a good dual transmitter, but I'd consider getting this just for the screen. I can't remember what combination of buttons to push to get my headsets set up every time. Having a screen should make it easy. The stupid reason I need one of these is so my wife and I can watch intense movies without my dog freakin out.
I was trying to find one that would have no lag, but even the ones that said they did'nt still had too much lag to watch tv. I still have to go into the fire stick settings and change the sync settings. So no need to be spending more on low lag Bluetooth. Still need to adjust the sound.

I used to install professionally. Adding Bluetooth audio streaming to factory head units was a common thing I did. The factory head unit doesn't have a display/UI for what I'm adding, of course, so customers with multiple phones trying to swap between on different days was always a headache. Having any display at all would have made all the difference.

Not sure if I want to leave a battery powered device in a hot car during the summer. Any thoughts?

Depends on how hot - but that's not the only use case for this.
portable audio players are making a come back - so this works for things like that. CD / tape / iPod classics etc.

Thanks! just bought it. Was looking to buy a BT transmitter. I have upcoming flight which will be very useful for me considering the headphones provided on the plane suck.

Definitely not a good idea for markets in which temp rises above 80 degrees (in which inside car exceeds 100.) Also not sure what the temp tolerance is for OLED screens. For those use cases a USB powered stick works well. But as others have said if you have multiple devices it can be finicky. I found a cheap one that always goes into pairing mode on power on or when nothing was paired so I hard wired it behind the dash to power and aux. Worked well for the time I had that vehicle.

That's what I picked up one for, the occasional times that I want to actually watch something on the seatback entertainment. I know some of the newer equipment has Bluetooth pairing for the seatback entertainment, but it's been kind of hit and miss for me.

Being able to use a decent set of noise canceling Bluetooth headphones as a lifesaver
