This game is weird and a little slow to start. It gets good and even more weird. I enjoyed this one thoroughly.

I think I got it for free on PlayStation+.
I would say that it is worth $20-$30 and I'm a cheapskate.

Janky they don't discount the bundle if you already own some of the games (on Steam). Only give you the option to gift extra copies. Most of the time (99% of the time) Steam does discount owned titles so I can only assume that was the publisher's decision.

FWIW, Control standard and Ultimate have been free before, check your libraries before purchase.

Surprised that I already own the Alan Wake Origins Bundle, but NOT Control Ultimate Edition. Guess I could change that starting today 😁

Thats not true, I bought a bundle (which I already owned half of) on Monday that not only discounted the item that I already owned, but still applied the 10% "bundle discount" and prorates the existing games.

FWIW, I think you are confusing the new 'gifting' policy to supersede entirely the behavior I am discussing. Which that too takes into account games already owned.

https://www.pcgamer.com/software/...discounts/

"The discounting feature works as it should: if you buy a bundle for someone who already has some of the games featured in it, it'll cost you less overall. I've tested this myself with some Steam friends and this Ghost Recon bundle—for those who don't have any of the games, it would cost me £43 to gift it. For those who already have some of them, it's cheaper."

For example, unlike Control / Alan Wake above, The Far Cry series is also on sale, I own all of the Far Cry's (via Steam) except 1 and 6, Steam is NOT trying to charge me for the complete series, including the games I already own, forcing me to "gift" the extra keys (again, like unlike Control / Alan Wake is....thus my comment), but is only attempting to charge me for the remainder, which is just FC1 and FC6, the only titles I do not own via Steam DRM.

Copied and pasted from Steam at 10:40AM 1/21/2026:
"Buy Far Cry Bundle BUNDLE, 7 of 9 items from this bundle are already in your library. Buy this bundle to save 10% off the 2 items you don't yet have!"
And if you loaded up ANY of their bundles last sale, they did not apply a pro-rated discount for items you've had. I spoke clearly and accurately. They've stopped doing those discounts last sale.

So those games aren't discounted from the bundle?!? So the bundle is isn't $62.98 but discounted for me to $22.48? Unlike Alan Wake (per my comment) which only gives the option to buy EVERYTHING and "gift" the duplicates?

And can you "clearly and accurately" tell me if "10:40AM 1/21/2026" isafter Steam's "last sale" which ended Jan 5th? Last I checked, today is after 2 weeks ago, but Albert Einstein did suggest time is relative....maybe you are closer to a black hole than I am so your time is moving more slowly Wink

More "clear and accurate" evidence attached.... please "clearly and accurately" explain why I just heard a mic drop....

And again, THE LAST SALE they stopped allowing that.

Just because you walk around with a copy-pasted message doesn't mean it's valid.

"SPECIAL PROMOTION! Offer ends January 24" (called out on the top). And the Steam Winter Sale Price for FC6 was $10.19, not 14.99. So yet another thing I couldn't have been "walking around with" waiting for this very convo. https://steamdb.info/app/2369390/ (in case you want to check the "clear and accurate" sale prices)

LOL, let me guess, I traveled back in time to before the Steam sale ended and screenshotted that so I could prove you wrong....oh, and I photoshopped the dates too....and I hacked steamdb's price history as well LMAO2

Do the math for the Alan Wake bundle.

Control is the only item you don't have, at $3.99.

Total price for the bundle is $6.26.

It's literally the OPPOSITE of a pro-rated discount. You'd be better off just buying Control on its own.

The Far Cry bundle is literally the normal price of the two missing items, minus a 10% bundle discount. You're not getting a pro-rated discount for items you already have, like it used to be.

Like I said, they STOPPED doing this starting with the last sale, continuing to present day. You seem to be obsessed with the 5th for some reason.

"Obsessed with the 5th?" Dude, you are the one who keeps bringing up the Steam sale as your line in the sand. But you get upset when the last day of that event is mentioned? Sorry for continuing your conversation? If you don't want to discuss the Steam sale, stop beating your chest about it? LOL....

Lets....speak....slowly....
Control is $3.99. The bundle is $6.26.
I own all the games BUT Control. So I should pay $3.99 - 10% (what you think "prorated" means), not $6.26. My Far Cry example shows that bundle behavior is still alive and well as of 1/21/2026. Post Steam Sale as well.

And yes, "It's literally the OPPOSITE of a pro-rated discount"....DING DING DING!!!!! Thus my complaint. And why I compared and contrasted with the Far Cry bundle. Again, that discounted "pRoRaTeD" price is still "clearly and accurately" active today for Far Cry.... not "stopped." Took you long enough to catch up but I knew we could get there! *And please, see screenshot(s) if you are still confused.

Frankly, either you have misunderstood my comment, yet still felt like having a tantrum, or you've moved the goalpost to the planet Mars because you are trying to save face. Honestly either is pretty sad.

Good luck with whatever you are going through and feel free to have the last word, I'm sure you'll need it.

Your screenshot has control at $3.99, but you'll be paying $6.26 for the bundle. You own the rest of the bundle. These are the facts.

If you weren't getting ANY discount, then the bundle should be $3.99. In the past, the math would've been more in your favor -- total price of the bundle, subtract the discount, then subtract the total of each game you already own. So the bundle would be cheaper than $3.99, since you own the rest of it. It might only be by a few pennies or dollars, but still savings.

Now they're not doing that anymore.

In some cases, even if you already own a partial bundle, they're even charging you MORE for the bundle than if you just bought the games a-la-carte. Like you LITERALLY screenshotted for Alan Wake + Control bundle.

You seem to be the one confused here.
