I think so. It's not Corsair's best line, but the 650M I bought a few months ago has done fine. Efficiency isn't really worth the premium when it's not in daily use. And if you need a PSU in a pinch one day, you have something you might be able to leave in service.

Most brands make high and low end models. This is a lower end Corsair PSU. That is why I added "if you care about that sort of thing". I feel its always worth spending the extra $10-$20 on a higher rated PSU. Its the one component I try not to cheap out on. C+ isn't really that bad.

The C+ rating suites this price point, they're quiet, and the brand is trustworthy. I have switched out all of my PSUs to Corsair, over the years while watching EVGA (listed as A tier) 1300W PSUs spark out and blow up in my case, twice, brand new. Received RMA replacements from EVGA but I'm only keeping it as a spare. Maybe just my luck...

Get a gold level or above if you plan to undervolt. Too much voltage ripple/noise in bronze level. Couldn't get a good stable CPU/memory. Lesson learned.

I had ordered this but then for 20 bucks more got the rm750x shift from newegg instead, figuring the extra efficiency at 20-40w loads would make up the difference over time in electric bills for a server that's on 24/7. It's also 80 plus gold, fully modular and A+ tier according to that google doc. I figured that's worth 20 bucks more.
