Lenovo Yoga Tab Plus stands out as a fast Android tablet with strong keyboard support, excellent pen performance, and very capable gaming and emulation thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 16GB of RAM. The 12.7 inch IPS screen is repeatedly described as bright, vivid, and close to OLED quality, and external monitor support is unusually flexible. The main drawbacks are the lack of OLED, no microSD slot, and a keyboard case that does not fully protect the back and edges. It feels best suited to buyers who want a powerful tablet and keyboard setup without expecting premium display extras.

  • people who want a reliable Android tablet/laptop replacement and don't specifically need an OLED display because one commenter bought it via a rewards portal and said it's "pretty fast and capable" and they "don't need the super OLED display."

  • Android users who care about keyboard + multi-monitor productivity because a commenter said Lenovo "offers the absolute best keyboard and multi-monitor support available on an Android tablet," including fine-grained resolution/refresh-rate selection (like 5120x1440p at 100Hz).

  • buyers who plan to use it mainly for gaming/emulation and can live without expandable storage because one commenter reported "gaming and emulation were exceptional" and still called out the lack of an SD slot as the main drawback.

  • owners who rely on microSD expansion because commenters repeatedly flagged "no expandable storage" / "no sd card slot" as the biggest con.

  • people who want OLED screen features (like DC dimming and no PWM at low brightness) because multiple commenters said the biggest issue is that it isn't OLED and that they "voted with my wallet" for an OLED tablet instead.

  • people who want a tablet case that protects the back/edges because one commenter said the keyboard case "didn't really cover the glass on the back or edges," and they wouldn't keep it for that reason.

  • buyers who want a big-screen Android tablet to replace a laptop in a Windows/chrome-style workflow because one commenter said it's "frankly too big for the limited Android OS" and that 13" "makes more sense for a windows or chrome environment."

Look, I expect it to work on day one and if you don't drop your tablet... it should work on Day 10,000. I am not to worried about "warranty and support". But if you buy the global unit, I am sure you can get it serviced under warranty. Also, I have used my warranty once with a Samsung... and it was like to hell in a handbasket. But the fifteen tablets I purchased in my life I never needed or used support or warranty. The Honor MagicPad 2 12.3" is a premium Android tablet known for its exceptional 12.3-inch 3K OLED display. It features a high 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1600 nits, making it a strong competitor to flagship tablets like the iPad Pro in terms of visual quality.Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which provides smooth performance for multitasking and gaming. The tablet is incredibly thin at just 5.8mm and houses a massive 10,050mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. It also features an impressive eight-speaker system with Spatial Audio and IMAX Enhanced certification for a cinematic experience. But there are two versions... one that comes with the play store by the manufacturer (global)... or one that you need to side load the play store on, AKA the Chinese Version.
Honor is a subsidy/sub-brand of Huawei, with all the good and bad that comes along with that association.

Nothing at all wrong with buying an Honor tablet so long as you know what you are buying into and what you are getting.

The build quality should be great because they have a reputation for that.

I just think it's odd to expect an OLED and the rest of these specs for sub $500. Apple wants $1100+ for something like that.
For a laptop, okay, but this is supposedly a $770 tablet that definitely isn't spec'd like a $1000+ laptop, so it should have OLED, and some of us will never go back to IPS.
And I'm not knocking this deal, but this is a bulky tablet so people who will use it mainly as a laptop might be happier with an actual laptop. And as much as I love the idea of Snapdragon laptops, they can't run Linux well yet, which is a dealbreaker for me.

I just bought this model through my company's reward portal for 760 - anyway, it was free due to reward points.
I like it very much - pretty fast and capable.
Dont need the super OLED display as people are saying. Just a reliable tablet/laptop replacement.

Still not seeing where $770 = $1100 OLED iPad.

Comparing laptops to tablets doesn't make sense either.

If you expect to get an OLED 13" tablet for $770 or less, you're going to end up with alphabet soup brand direct from China with no support and DIY software and security updates.

Your right...

So lets compare it to Samsung... the bread and butter of long updates. Samsung gave us the LANDFALL (zero click vulnerability) and it did not matter if your device was up to date, it lasted one year from 2024 to 2025... so you can be breathing air and your S25 Ultra just got hacked. The last zero click vulnerability was from Android 6. And Landfall only effected Samsung devices... all of them.

Then you have appcloud (even though it technically is only installed over seas by Samsung).

1. Today... LIKE TODAY!!! Samsung devices stopped recieving Google Play System Updates WHICH any tablet should be able to get EVEN IF your device has stopped receiving official Android OS and manufacturer security updates. So every phone in the world can have this updated as long as you have Android 6 or newer and as long as your device IS NOT A SAMSUNG DEVICE... So why did GOOGLE do this update??? addressing critical security issues is the primary reason.
As of January 23, 2026, here is why Google is currently prioritizing these updates:

Fixing Critical Vulnerabilities (Security)
The most urgent reason for the January 2026 updates was to patch a "zero-click" flaw in the Dolby Digital Plus Codec (CVE-2025-54957).
What it is: A vulnerability that allows hackers to take control of your phone just by sending a malicious audio file or voice message. Zero-Click: You don't even have to open the file; the phone's background system "decodes" it automatically, which triggers the flaw. SO AGAIN, JUST LIKE LANDFALL... you have a vulnerability that is ONLY for SAMSUNG PHONES RIGHT NOW because the rest of the world can update google play system files.

2. Recent History: In December 2025, Google also released a "mega-patch" for 107 vulnerabilities. DID SAMSUNG GET THESE TO THEIR PHONES... many Samsung devices received these fixes, but there is an important detail: Samsung's update reported only 68 fixes (57 Android-level and 11 Samsung-specific) rather than the full 107 mentioned by Google. TO ME THAT IS NOT OK!!!

3. I did not even talk about the amount of bloatware that a Samsung tablet now comes with. There are stories about Samsung's AI may be spying on you by uploading info to the cloud to work on.

A really good tablet, I thoroughly enjoyed mine. I would say it offers the absolute best keyboard and multi-monitor support available on an Android tablet. Lenovo excels in monitor support, allowing you to select your output resolution and refresh rate from a list. I was able to connect a 5120x1440p monitor at 100Hz. Samsung Dex, on the other hand, doesn't provide quite the same level of granularity.
Ultimately, I returned the Lenovo and opted for a used S9 Ultra with the keyboard instead. This decision was primarily due to my existing Samsung ecosystem. However, if this is your sole Android tablet, it's truly remarkable. The absence of an SD slot was a significant drawback for Lenovo, and if it had one, I would have kept it.
Gaming and emulation were exceptional, as the tablet effortlessly handled everything I threw at it, including the Nintendo Switch and PC games from the 2010s. Sd8 gen 3 is very mature now, and the 16GB of RAM is great.

I have an Samsung S21, S23 Ultra, and Fold 5 all running Dex that can do 4K output. Must download Good Lock from the Samsung from the Play Store. Then look for MiltiStar n download it n open. On the top select to On. Scroll down n select High resolution to external display. Completely power off the device then on.... Or, search on youtube on Samsung good lock 4K

I think this will only get 2 OS updates and it was released a year ago, so one update is already done. And this is a price in and out (or nearby pricing). Not sure if this is a good deal now.

Edit: It has 3 OS upgrade promises, arrived with an older version to begin with. We are already on A16 so you would just get one more this year. And then, this will be forgotten by Lenovo as usual.

That is why Apple makes so much profit, they also don't share any money with other companies such as google pays apple around $20 billion in 2022 (info leaked due to court case).

You shoud be able to get a OLED screen for less then $500... and one that is better then apple's OLED screen. Apple's OLED is about 1000nits and Honor's OLED is about 1600nits.

My ZTE Redmagic OLED screen also does 1600nits. And the nits are getting even higher with newer models.

The problem IMHO, is tariffs (or should I say TAXES). I always said, you want to get rid of the deficit, put a federal sales tax but what the republicans have done is so much more... we are not talking about 5% more we are talking about 25-40% more and at one point it was 125% more. Somehow we are paying this federal sales tax AKA tarriffs and our deficit is not going down.

Having an older OS is not so bad. As long as your app works perfectly what else do you want?

And having some promised updates does not make your tablet any safer... just look at Samsung. I am just as happy using my Android 14 device as I am using my Android 16 device.
