Just to note as it's not mentioned in the OP, these are refills. I actually prefer refills at this point as I have so many empty spools at home and it's just less waste for me. I just felt people should be aware.

As far as the filament, it's okay but not from the better PETG I've used and definitely below the Elegoo, Sunlu, Jayo tier and I'd only buy at this price if they are colors you can't get from the other brands which are frequently priced better than this for 4kg PETG bundles. Not to mention, I think I'm in the minority on preferring refills and these don't come with a spool.

Really hoping their announced "personal" shredder and filament extruder ends up creating thousands of filament sellers save brings down spool pieces even more. ~10 a spool is already pretty good but $5 each would be better 🤣

If they could get the right price, I would be down for using my scraps to make filament, but I would not sell it. lol

I have limited experience with PETG, but both the Elegoo and Jayo ones I bought were terribly wound and had knots in them causing print failures hours into a project.

That's interesting and it's possible you may have gotten from a bad batch. With Elegoo specifically, I've gone through easily more than 100 spools in the past year and never once had an issue with a badly wound spool. It can happen occasionally with any brand as I've had a couple bad Polymaker spools and that is supposedly a higher tier than any of the aforementioned brands (all though I personally prefer Elegoo over Polymaker). Jayo, which is the same as Sunlu, I have not used as much (as I prefer Elegoo), but haven't had any issues with the spools I've used.

I default to PETG personally...any brand really. A little slower to print and slightly less forgiving to sloppy settings than PLA but I find for functional prints, especially for anything outside or used in cars left in the hot summer sun, it is a million times better. Also sticks better to the bed IMO. If I was doing only decretive items, figures, etc I'd probably default to PLA though.

BTW, I just noticed this was for "refills." Sadly I don't have any spools that this would work with, all of empties are single piece Frown

You can print your own Bambu style spool from Makerworld, or print out the Polymaker Master Spool from Printables.

Once you go PETG HF speeds, you'll never go back. Good price though.

I almost pulled the trigger but realized it's 4kg total. They make the refill spools look huge to trick people like me. The hassle of refill isn't worth paying nearly 10/kg, I'm open to change my mind though if someone has a good argument

Do you have a link to this? Usually these things have been scams. The real deal has been expensive, a pain to get up and running, and some require you to mix in pellets of new PLA/PETG. Also, the filament needs to be dry and clean and reused filament tends to be less strong.
