Most importantly, the AirPods appear legit. Pairs instantly, has serial, find my device works, and has good ANC (compared to Gen 1). All accessories were included, box is opened, but looks fine
Second, some small scratches seen on the case. Nothing major, but you can see it with looked closely, so mines probably been in someone's pocket.
Third, anecdotal, the tips made my ears itch initially. I cleaned with alcohol and then issue is fine.
So overall - legit, but slightly used / blemished, and definitely clean before using.
EDIT: those were refurbished, not open box, but I would assume Apple Care is still not available for open box.
