The Avata 2 Fly Smart Combo stands out as an FPV drone package that feels fast, fun, and well priced for the included Goggles N3 and RC Motion 3. The extra batteries are a major part of the value, since replacement packs are described as expensive and the jump from the cheaper Fly Smart option is framed as worthwhile for longer sessions. The main drawbacks are the lack of a bag or case, the awkward fit for accessories, and uncertainty about seller warranty. It is best suited to flying, not photo work, and it makes the most sense if you do not plan to switch soon to manual FPV controls.

  • people who want an FPV-style experience and plan to fly in sport mode because one owner says it's "awesome" and "like a rocket" once you switch to sport mode.

  • buyers who are mainly focused on the motion-controller workflow and don't plan to move into manual flying later because commenters say the setup is totally fine if you don't plan on learning manual flying, since the motion controller won't carry over to FPV Controller 3.

  • Avata 1 Fly More combo owners upgrading within the same ecosystem because a commenter who already owns the Avata 1 Fly More combo says it was worth it.

  • people who specifically want extra batteries included because commenters argue that paying a bit more for two additional batteries is a strong deal (e.g., original batteries costing about $150 each).

  • buyers who want a photo drone for traditional photography because one commenter pushes back that you need a photo drone, not an FPV-style drone.

  • buyers who need a ready-to-go travel case because a commenter says the combo doesn't include a bag or case, and finding cases/bags that fit the Avata 2 and Goggles N3 is "impossible."

  • people who want to learn manual controls/FPV Controller 3 later because the motion controller won't carry over, and commenters recommend stepping up to Goggles 3 or a Fly More package for better long-term value if that's your direction.

  • commercial users who plan to use it for work because commenters note you'd need an FCC Part 107 license to legally use it for any commercial use.

  • buyers who are considering it mainly because it's cheap from an unknown seller because one commenter questions the seller and raises concern about why it's so cheap and whether there's a warranty.

Would this be good for real estate photography?
Yes but You would also need to get your fcc part 107 license in order to legally use it for any commercial use.

Been wanting to get a drone, I'm a newbie and would like to eventually build a solid skill in flying these. What would you guys recommend me buying?
Get a neo 2. Get the bundle that comes with a controller. You can even get some goggles and even do fpv on it. Its a pretty versatile drone for beginners

This setup is totally fine if you don't plan on learning manual flying. But if you do think you'll eventually get into building your own drones or flying other manufacturers' FPV rigs, you'll need to learn manual controls with the FPV Controller 3 — the motion controller won't carry over.

If that's the direction you see yourself going, I'd strongly recommend stepping up to the version that includes the Goggles 3 ($850) or the Fly More Combo with three batteries ($1100). Those packages are a much better long-term investment because the Goggles 3 are much better goggles. Both the n3 and goggles 3 can be reused with a ton of aftermarket drones and even your own builds running the O4 system but the goggles 3 will be a better investment long term.

where do you guys fly it? Among all the trips I had last year and planed this year, nowhere allows this thing!
Ooof you want a ball tightener when we went from grand cayman to Havana one of my boys had a mavic in his bag and airport security freaked out. Straight to medieval style holding cell with your arms chained above your head facing the wall.

Neo2 would be better for that. Its smaller so it would be easier to maneuver indoors. Though youd want to use a standard controller and phone instead of the headset and motion controller.
