Wait, $5-6 savings on a $120 item is now a good deal?

What am I missing?
More impending inflation?

Great knife, great price. I own this one and the carbon. Like them both equally.

Bought this exact knife last time for $84 after tax (in CA) on 12/15. Absolutely love it, even more than my Benchmade Bugout 20CV. I got it because I tried Magnacut out on a Deka, and couldn't believe how long the edge kept sharp, so I was looking to get another Magnacut knife before everyone else figured out how great they are and the prices started climbing.

Highly recommend this knife at this price.

So I can't say how long this knife will stay sharp, but on my Hogue Deka with the same steel (Magnacut) I used for almost exactly a year before I bought this Kershaw, and while I can't shave my arm with the Hogue Deka, it was just on this side of dull--I didn't notice any real performance difference day-to-day.

I have not sharpened a Magnacut steel blade yet, but I've got my Hogue and my M390 Bugout ready to sharpen, so I'll have a better idea of how those two steels compare soon.

Honestly, if you can afford this knife, it should last you a long time without needing to resharpen unless you're using it to chop steel or carve rocks.

Magnacut has better edge retention than any blade less than $150, but its still on the lower end for high end knife steels, Magnacut is very stainless, and very tough. Magnacut is definitely in the top 3 of pocket knife steels, and is the toughest of the bunch. This knife is routinely in the top 5 for its price category, competes favorably with $200-$250 knives.
Any knife though will need to be sharpened at some point, how often is depending on use. It is a skill, but is not hard to learn with youtube now a days. expect to pay about $60 to get a good sharpening system on the low end.

The two responses I've received to my question makes me grateful for this kind and knowledgeable community. Thank you.
