Note: These headphones were professionally refurbished by the experts at Bose and are in pristine condition. They will arrive in a new white box that still works perfectly for gifting, but NOT the original retail packaging. All original Bose accessories are included and the headphones come with a 1 Year Bose Manufacturer Warranty.

These Bose QuietComfort refurbs are mainly praised for strong noise cancelling, light comfort, and a more balanced sound than older Bose models. The physical buttons, deep ear cups, and app EQ add to the appeal for music, podcasts, desk use, and long flights. The main cautions are that the ANC is not as strong as the Ultra version or some Sony rivals, and the model can be confused with the Ultra. There are also concerns about missing accessories and whether the advertised Bose warranty is actually honored through Woot, making this a solid midrange ANC option with some buyer diligence needed.
Common Questions (4)
The Bose ANC is described as very strong and among the best for real-world use, but some comparisons put Sony WH-1000XM5 and even AirPods Pro 2/3 ahead in attenuation tests. For most listeners it is still excellent, especially at this price range.
No. This listing is for the Bose QuietComfort Bluetooth Headphones, not the Ultra version. The Ultra is the higher-end model and is the one that would make this price a standout deal.
They are not ideal for workouts because the headphones can move around and the leather ear cups get worse with sweat. They are better for music and long listening sessions, but phone calls can pick up surrounding noise.
A refurbished unit bought from Woot reportedly arrived without the official Bose carrying case, and Bose reportedly would not honor the advertised 1-year manufacturer warranty because Woot was not treated as an authorized seller. That makes the included warranty less certain than the listing suggests.

Get what you pay for sometimes...
My read was focused on the ANC section which was pretty mediocre. Even the Airpod Pro 2 or 3 have more sound attenuation according to their tests...

It's a good deal for ANC in the $1xx range, but I was looking for more out of my headphones. I want ones that will last me 5 years instead of just 1-2.
RE: the faux leather coming off after repeated use - you can buy slipcovers for your headphones that will prevent those plastic bits from getting on you. My wife sews her own slipcovers for her headphones. Makes them last longer.

XM5 may be better in some ways, but has a huge durability issue with the hinges that make them a non-starter for me. I can't say I've heard many of the Bose QC headphones with broken hinges and they've used the same basic design for a decade or more on this model.

The Ultra is obviously going to have higher fidelity, which you might notice more with the treble, but for most listeners, the difference won't be obvious. I'd say noise cancelling is also similarly a small step down but still very, very good - think 82% as opposed to 87% effectivity.
One thing that this version has over the Ultra is the physical buttons. The Ultra's touch buttons are 1st gen and it feels that way. It can be a pain in the rear just trying to make small adjustments to the volume.
Overall, if you're an audiophile and need the absolute best-in-class noice cancelling, then go with the Ultra. If you're more of the average user and are looking for still very good, base forward listening and still excellent ANC, then go with these. Personally, I went with these.
