I've owned this for a few months now, paid full price for it and I really enjoy it. I don't know why but I punish the joysticks when I game. I go through ps5 controllers every 6 months or so and I grew tired of taking them apart and repairing them. I've always been a dual shock (symetrical layout) fan and couldn't get used to an Xbox style controller. I believe this is the best symetrical option on the market. Very high quality, feels solid, every button press is deliberate. The battery life is great, the latency is imperceivable to me(ymmv), and it's comfortable to use for long periods. My only complaint is the surface of the sticks is slick, and since I'm so violent with the sticks I couldn't keep a good grip so I purchased the Kontrol Freek thumb grips and now it's absolutely perfect. I will never purchase another OEM controller, third party controllers have came so far from the days of Mad Katz.

On my ultimate 2 bluetooth controllers, I had to use the software to get the beta firmware update. You have to go to the settings in their app and enable beta firmware in there before it will show up. That's as of today, since they seem to have put it out to solve that not working on a recent Switch 2 update.

How are these for use paired via bluetooth to PS1/PS2 consoles? Looking for a new controller that closely mimics the original controllers to play on original hardware wirelessly.

The Mad Katz days were great....I don't recall blowing through joysticks back then and feel like its almost intentional now with controllers wearing those out so easily

It's confusing that there are 2 Ubitdo stores in Amazon
For most of the Ubitdo controllers, you can buy directly from Amazon or the Ubitdo Official US
From Ubitdo official website, the only hyperlink to the 8Bitdo store on Amazon does go to the Ubitdo Official US
So is Ubitdo Official US a valid store or they sell counterfeits?

I love this controller as someone used to the PS layout. It's been pretty solid now for a couple of years.

Love the look and feel of these controllers but I have not been able to figure out what's causing the significant input lag on my Switch OLED while docked. It's not an issue with my computer. I've put the switch in airplane mode, turned off all surrounding BT devices, updated firmware... nothing seems to help.

The Pro 2 has a big advantage over the Pro 3 with battery options. Pro 2 comes with a removable rechargeable battery that allows you to 2 regular AA batteries as well. Pro 3 has a built in rechargeable. Not an immediate factor, but it's nice to have the option for AA once the rechargeable battery starts to die.

Pro 3 has swappable buttons for Nintendo vs Xbox ABXY, but this black Pro 2 is basically a stealth model. You can't really see the button labels on the faceplate, so it effectively doesn't matter what the labels are..
