Best Buy was selling refurbished VR 2 headsets for $150 just a couple days ago. This is a terrible deal because Sony isn't showing any love for their PSVR2. Their last few Days of Play events have been pretty void of VR content. On top of that it doesn't work for PSVR1 games you are pretty much buying it as a Horizon, No Man's Sky, and Resident Evil playing machine.
I really wanted VR to do well but this ain't happening.

For the price, is this a good VR set to get to use on a PC? I mostly want it for flight games and maybe watching movies/TV on a huge virtual screen.

I have this and its amazing on both the PC (with a good graphics card) and for PS5. There are still games coming out for it on PS5 but I will mostly use it for PC. Amazing OLED screens! Half Life Alyx looks incredible.

There are a bunch of free or low-cost upgrades available for PSVR games to make them compatible with PSVR2.

I'm currently using a PSVR2 for PC. Got it on ebay for $180 but it was really more like $160. I got a partial refund because one of the controllers did not work which meant the whole thing was unusable. Had to send it in to Sony for repairs. I like it and think it's pretty good for an intro into VR.
It does have some drawbacks. Most games don't have native keybindings for the controller so I find myself having to remap controllers in a lot of games. Another thing is you want to make sure you have a good Bluetooth adapter or you'll face some intermittent tracking issues. One last downside is that it is wired and hardwired at that, so should your usb cable ever get damaged the whole system would stop working. Some good things though is that games look great on it. It's also really comfortable with this cluster mod I got for it, which was pretty cheap. I haven't had any neck pains or strains while using it.

Overall, I like it but I do believe I am going to get a Steam Frame as I think it'll fix all of the issues I currently have with the PSVR2. I think the Steam Frame will be priced well enough for me.

Been using this to play Star Citizen in VR. I literally don't care about any other VR game on PS5 other than GT7, and this thing is an AMAZING value for a high-performance OLED set for your PC using the $60 PC adapter.

I would seriously recommend this unless you're looking to spend thousands on a headset - nothing else under $1K compares.

Absolutely, it's a great option for VR on the PC. Not all native PS5 features are enabled while using the controllers on PC, but it's not a deal breaker.

I've had the Rift, Quest 2, and Quest 3 (full version, not S). Quest 3 is a drastic improvement for PC VR. The lens quality is so much better that I wouldn't want to go back. Quest 2 is fine if that's all you have, but if you can spend a bit more, get a Quest 3.

I have the quest 3 still in the a return window. I use it mainly for PCVR and wonder of the psvr2 oled would be a worthy trade off for the resolution on the quest 3?

To be honest, that's the same reason I came into this post. I was wondering if it would be worth dropping the cash or not. Based on some of the things people have said about controllers not being properly bound and whatnot, I think I'll pass for now. I do have a PS5 so I could use it for the intended purpose as well, but there is almost nothing that I'd play there that I couldn't do on PC.

If you hadn't seen, Steam is releasing a new VR headset soon as well. I'm sure it will be 3-4x than this though.

The Steam VR announcement is what actually got me to buy the quest 3. I was worried about the quest price increasing because of rampocolypse along with the announcement of the Steam VR with possible $800+ pricing which is too rich for my blood.

Also, I find the quest 3 color and black levels lacking even compare to my quest 2.
