Newegg is running their pc builder flash sale again; when you add 4 qualifying items to the pc builder tool and add to cart from there it takes an additional 10% off. You can take advantage of this with specific combos and filler items to achieve additional savings over existing combos.

Example build list from the deal title [newegg.com] (price will drop to reflect additional savings in cart):
AMD Ryzen 5 9600X + 32GB V-COLOR RGB DDR5 6000 CL30 + MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 240 + HP Poly ear cushion for wireless headset leatherette Model 85R11AA (found in the accessory -> headset category) + Logitech B100 Corded Mouse – Wired USB Mouse for $365.56 after $0.99 shipping ($19 cheaper than this ongoing frontpage deal which doesn't include the filler mouse and earpads)

Many other filler items can be used, here's a few other qualifying filler items besides the previously mentioned mouse and earpads in a variety of categories:
Power supply: HP Poly Savi Office Universal AC Power Supply(9V 1000MA) With Stral Model 85R59AA $19.99
Cpu cooler: Super flexible PSU extension cables, 1 x PCIe 8pin (6+2) $15.99; Cooler Master Hyper 212 Spectrum V3 CPU Air Cooler $19.99
Keyboard: Cherry JK-0800FR-2 105 Plus 4 Cherry KC 1000 Black French USB keyboard $18.99

You can obviously also add primary components instead of filler items, you just need at minimum 4 items from different categories with the "combo for an additional 10% off" badge in the pc builder tool. I recommend disabling the compatibility checker toggle in the tool, it's extremely buggy. Make sure to check the "sold by newegg" toggle, third party listings don't qualify for the 10% savings.

I might provide some additional examples in the comment thread below.

So is the RAM shortage over? They just using it to lock us into less desirable parts now?

Idk if this is anything like the microcenter bundles, but those are subsidized a bit by AMD I think. Might be the case here

Edit: The original mouse went oos, here's a build list with a different mouse for a few dollars more ($369.97 total in cart): https://www.newegg.com/tools/cust...yU_IiJsFb8

Considering the ongoing ram apocalypse (which is only projected to continue to get worse), I think this is the best we're gonna get for a long while. Heck, 32gb of ddr5 6000 cl30 hynix memory tends to go for over $300 by itself nowadays.
Newegg made a mistake with this particular 9600x + ram combo, unlike most other combos the combo up savings apply in the pc builder tool. This means you can compound it with the ongoing 10% pc builder flash sale for adding 4 qualifying items from the pc builder tool.

The example deal I used for this post uses filler items to achieve the lowest price possible, you can swap the mouse and earpads out for any other items with the "combo for an additional 10% off" badge in the pc builder tool. If you need additional primary components, you can achieve an even better value.
For example, instead of the mouse and keyboard you could add the CORSAIR RMx Shift White Series, RM750x Shift White (excellent value psu, but beware of case compatibility) and ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 White AM5 AMD B650 Micro ATX Motherboard (hardware unboxed top pick for a budget am5 board, doesn't include wifi and don't use with x3d cpus) for $142.02 more ($507.58 total).

Unfortunately ram shortages are expected to continue to get worse. Unless the ai bubble pops/deflates a lot sooner than everyone expects, ram is likely to continue to get more expensive throughout the first half of 2026 at absolute minimum.

As I discuss in the original deal post, the mouse and earpads are filler items to get the 10% discount, you can substitute any other qualifying item (such as a motherboard) for them.

If you're on a budget, I'd personally recommend the ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 White AM5 AMD B650 Micro ATX Motherboard (black version is $10 more expensive). It's $110 - $10 combo savings - 10% pc builder savings. Hardware unboxed has it as their top pick for a budget am5 board. Be aware asrock boards have issues with potentially damaging x3d cpus (not relevant since this combo has a 9600x), and the board does not include wifi. Specs here: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B65...cification

Would you know what's the best budget mobo for a mini-ITX build?

The PC hobby game is getting outrageously expensive. Maybe manufacturers are trying to tell us to get some fresh air and exercise. 🚵 🚶 🏃

This video is a bit out of date, but should be useful for comparing last gen boards (which is what you should be getting on a budget): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsmStRPI47I

Unfortunately, there aren't that many great itx options for am5, particularly at a lower price point. If you're specifically looking for a cheap-ish itx board to combo in the newegg pc builder alongside the 9600x and ram in this deal, I'd probably recommend the ASRock B650I LIGHTNING WIFI AM5 Ryzen 7000 AMD B650 SATA 6Gb/s Mini-ITX s DDR5 7200+ (OC) 2.5G LAN x WiFi 6E Motherboard. It'll power limit cpus to ~165w, but that's not really an issue unless you want to upgrade to a 12+ core cpu in the future.

The filler items can be swapped out. Here's a new build list with a different mouse for a few dollars more ($369.97 total in cart); it's still showing $0.99 shipping on my end: https://www.newegg.com/tools/cust...yU_IiJsFb8
