McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning is a go-to blend for steak, prime rib, and other beef cuts, with strong flavor that also works on savory foods like eggs and salmon. The smaller 3.4 ounce bottles are handy for keeping it fresher and easy to share or give away. The price works out to about 26 cents per ounce, which is below recent history. It is mostly salt, and there are fulfillment issues where a 6 pack has arrived as a single bottle.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. It works on prime rib, beef cuts, salmon, and savory foods in general, and it can also be used as a light sprinkle on scrambled eggs. The seasoning is especially useful when you want a strong savory boost without adding another sauce.
Some orders have arrived as a single 1-pack instead of the expected 6-pack, and replacements have been sent for the missing quantity. If you order, check the shipment carefully when it arrives.
Yes. A lower-sodium version is available and is used by shoppers who want more of the spice flavor and less salt; the regular blend is described as mostly salt.
Coat salmon fillets with mayo or EVO, shake the seasoning on, then air-fry at 360°F for about 8 minutes. That method is described as producing perfectly cooked salmon with the same seasoning that also works well on beef.
