McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak Seasoning is a go-to blend for steak, prime rib, and other beef cuts, with strong flavor that also works on savory foods like eggs and salmon. The smaller 3.4 ounce bottles are handy for keeping it fresher and easy to share or give away. The price works out to about 26 cents per ounce, which is below recent history. It is mostly salt, and there are fulfillment issues where a 6 pack has arrived as a single bottle.

  • The seasoning works well on more than steak, including scrambled eggs.

    JerkStorjdfettermanrjb702

  • Smaller bottles help keep seasoning fresher and make sharing or gifting easier.

    jenesaisquoictcsd

  • The lower-sodium version lets the spices and flavor come through more.

    proskatersf90elbercho

  • A simple air-fryer method can produce salmon that comes out well at 360°F for about eight minutes.

    Jimmy_O

  • Fulfillment can send a 1-pack even when a 6-pack is expected.

    NackJjonnydoo

  • The seasoning is mostly salt, so it may not suit people who want less-salty blends.

    elbercho

  • Price history claims conflict, with some history showing higher pricing and frequent out-of-stock at similar prices.

Stop with the we want something for free crap.Mccormic prices per bottle in since the late 90s into the 2000s $1.50-2.00 in if not on sale in the stores. I know because brought them all the time and still do.Now the off brands were a buck back then.So now in the stores they sell for about 1.99-2.00 per unit.So Amazon selling 6 for under beats Walmart, the super markets and own site if your buy it separately. So how low do you want it for it's less then a buck a piece so you just want them to give it away. I'm sorry but im sick of fanatical people coming on complaining about something even when it a good deal.
When I say it is not a deal i'm not saying it is not a good price. It is a great price. I'm "complaining" cause it is the exact price it has been since Oct 3rd and the average price for the past 10 months is $6. Nowhere near $31. It is deceptive and annoying.

Does anyone even use this. Either make your own or do something else, not a fan of this one.

This is by far the best seasoning mix I've ever had. It's good on pretty much anything savory.

I love this seasoning. My family thinks I make the best steak ever, even better than any 5-star steak houses.
Weber kettle grill with lump charcoal plus some of this seasoning, makes it the best weekend dinner ever.

How is it on fish?
Coat your salmon filets with some mayo or EVO then shake this on it. Throw it in the air fryer at 360 for about 8 minutes and it comes out perfectly. Also great on any beef.

LOL I was a bit annoyed it showed up on the front page after it sold out, but it was one of those too good to be true Amazon food deals anyway. And people argued whether this is a good deal or not, and are still discussing what to use it on.

It's mostly salt btw. They have a lower sodium one too which allows you to enjoy the spices and flavor more.
