I'm really surprised this keeps popping up as a deal. This is the normal cost of these fans as verified via camel^3 or even Amazon's price history. There are occasional periods when it spikes up to 35+, but those are the exception as it usually remains at this price range.

great deal for great fans. 3000 rpm is faster than most pc fans
...and louder to match. Thankfully there are plenty of ways to control PWM fans and get them dialed in for idle / sustained load speeds that work for you.
I prefer ~600-800 rpm idle (which is more or less silent with most good 120mm fans), and ~1100-1200 rpm for sustained loads - still fairly quiet, but effective with the P12 PWM PSTs, which are a little different from these.

Probably because these are some of the best fans out there and virtually every other fan is more expensive per fan - and generally, not as good performing. A single one of Noctua's 'legendary' A12x25 fans costs more than this 5pk all by itself.
just a quick note, if you're building silent pcs these arent exactly ideal as case fans. These are static pressure fans designed to overcome resistance with steeper blades, so it would be louder at the same RPM.

I installed these fans in my new NAS build in a Fractal Design Define 7. I have 5 fans (3 front intake, 1 bottom intake, 1 rear exhaust) and they are dead silent.
these are great for hoarding, fan technology won't go obsolete as quickly as some of the other components 😸
Of course. Shoot, over the summer, I got lucky at a thrift shop I typically visit which specializes in offering Amazon store returns and found myself some RGB-laced, PWM 120mm fans which were 3x in total for $1 each that I saved and used them in a PC build I made for my brother last year.
